The challenge

Blue Tokai's shoppers wanted the fast reordering and push updates of an app, without the brand losing the calm, editorial feel of its website.

The approach

We built a single React Native codebase covering browsing, roast level and grind selection, subscriptions, and checkout, with push notifications for restocks and order status so repeat buyers never have to open a browser.

The outcome

One team ships to both the App Store and Google Play from one codebase, and repeat orders move faster now that reordering is a tap on a home screen icon.
