The challenge
Shop Wired needed a storefront that could hold a wide catalogue of electronics without slowing product discovery or checkout, and stay fast on mobile networks where most first time shoppers arrive.
The approach
I built a category first navigation, product cards optimised for scanning, and a checkout that keeps steps visible and pressure low. Search, filters, and cart state are tuned to feel instant, and every page is served with lazy loaded imagery and compressed assets.
The outcome
The result is a storefront that turns visitors into buyers at a higher rate, holds up under peak traffic, and gives the team a clean surface to keep expanding the range.
